Purple Russian Original stock of this variety came from the Ukraine. Plum- shaped roma type fruits are 3-4"" long and weigh 6 ounces. Great taste, sweet and meaty. Very productive, good cold tolerance. One of the best purplish-black tomatoes for markets since it does not crack or have bad shoulders. Indeterminate, 80 days from transplant.


All packs of tomato seeds are weighed to 0.1 gm and contain aprox. 25 - 40 seeds, about double a store pack.

Get your seeds EARLY. Tomatoes need to be started 4-6 weeks before you want to plant them out.

I DO save ALL my tomato varieties myself. This is the same seed that I use for my market garden business. In the spring we sell plants for at least 300 varieties of tomatoes at the Farmer's Markets. We also plant out a good selection of the varieties for fresh tomatoes later at the markets. All my varieties have some specific great trait or 2 that makes them good varieties to grow.
