A rare opportunity to own an example of Balz Baechi's art in the form of a very rare silk scarf. Baechi is a Swiss painter and graphic designer born in Zurich in 1937, trained in New York and Paris and now devoting his life to the preservation and restoration of wall paintings world wide.
This scarf is fairly lightweight silk twill with rolled hem. The design is fragments of hearts or leaves in bold colors accented with black and white on a tan ground. The frame is black. The colors of the hearts are emerald green, marigold, burgundy and coffee.
Measurements are 23 inches square.
Condition is very good to excellent. There is a very light almost missable set of streaks on one marigold section. I have not treated this. It could easily be ignored. Otherwise there is no damage on this used vintage scarf.
