Furuno FMV 603 Video Sounder
Standard Features
Amber Monochrome Dual-Frequency video sounder
150W, 50/500kHz Transceiver
Digital readout of depth
Bottom Lock
VRM
Scale Calibration
15 to 2,000 foot range
Power Requirements
11 - 40 VDC, 18 Watts
The FMV603 is a compact video sounder with a dual-frequency transmitter using a single transducer. Steady, non-fading images are presented on a 6" rectangular CRT with 4-level quantization depending on received echo strength.
The FMV603 incorporates both 50kHz and 200kHz tranceivers for optimum shallow as well as deep water performance. You have the choice of high or low frequency display, either with or without Bottom Lock, or a simultaneous dual-frequency display.
A variable depth marker and noise limiter are standard features. Two alarm zones may be set; one extends from the top of the screen downward, the other from bottom towards the top. When they are overlapped, the overlapped portion becomes the alarm zone. The alarm works as either a Fish Alarm or Bottom Alarm. This audible alarm is then activated when a fish school or the bottom appears within the alarm zone.
In addition to manual phasing of the range, automatic phasing is provided so that the bottom is always displayed on the lower half of the screen
