“Burglary is on the rise in the neighborhood where my business is at. That’s why I installed this siren outside my store. Therefore, if an alarm is triggered the siren sounds and the flashing LEDs are activated. Not only will this scare off the intruder, but alert others and the police that something has gone wrong.”

Most of the time strobe lights and alarm sirens go hand in hand. When the alarm is activated the sirens go off and the lights turn on. That’s because the combination of light and sound is very effective in getting people’s attention. A burglar knows this and it’s the last thing he wants.

If you are considering installing a home alarm system with a strobe light outside your home then police suggest you choose a light that can easily be seen from the street. Police also suggest that you mount the light on the highest point on the side of your house that is closest to the street. You might even want to add a protective metal housing for the siren to shield it from the elements.
