EASY TO KNIT
I created this collection of patterns because my immediate family is filled with girls who all want the same easy to wear fashions who throughout the years have grown from tiny tots into adults.
Patterns which use tension between 6 - 8 on standard gauge machines, with easy to understand diagrams. UNFORTUNATELY the only "models" I was able to use for photographs are family who all wanted dark colours - please try to see beyond black and the other dark colours & the girls messing around instead of taking it seriously! A clue as to the sizing is that the blonde is 5ft 7ins tall while the teenager is 5ft 4ins tall (which is the average height).
Shrugs knitted in stocking stitch. Loose fitting. 5 sizes are given for the 4 ply shrug, small teen, small,medium, large and extra large. Instructions given for 4 ply (fingering weight) version and also a version for those thinner slippery industrial yarns which you hate to shape. Most shrug patterns are basically a rectangle with a cuff at each end, knitted in either rib or tuck to make it wide enough. This is NOT the same as those patterns. This design will drape the way you want it to & fit loosely like a jacket.
Tuck stitch open loose fit cocoon cardigan - easy to complete within a day - easy enough to knit a larger size if needed.
Basic tuck stitch square poncho or ruana with cowl or hood in standard length or long length
Basic tuck stitch square poncho without any shaping.
Ponchos for adults & children in fairisle, tuck stitch, threadlace, rib & slip stitch - lots of sizes - standard length ponchos and short shoulder ponchos.
The easiest tuck stitch poncho with cowl or hood which have the point down the middle instead of slipping to the side.
Tuck stitch shawl or wrap with identical ends
Afghan, shawl, shrug - call it what you may, this is knitted using 2 strands of 2/30’s yarn in a pretty tuck stitch. Suitable for punch card machines &, of course, electronic knitting machines

Poncho shawl knitted on chunky machine
