Vintage (1950's) - Ceramic White Cat/Kitten Table Lamp

Hello......This little cat lamp has a lot of meaning to me. This is a hand-painted Plaster of Paris (Chalkware) lamp that was painted for me in the 1950's, by my Mom. When I was a little girl in the 1950's, I remember my Mom's hobby was painting figurines....and my Mom and the neighbor ladies often had painting parties at each other's homes. I loved having this lamp in my bedroom.....because I loved cats.....and dogs too! :o)

The white kitty lamp measures 10 1/4" tall to the top of the socket (not including a light bulb). It measures 5" across the bottom.

I am sorry to say that my little kitty lamp has lots of little chips here and there....and if you look closely at the photos.....you will see most of them.

The electrical plug is split and broken.....so that will need to be replaced.

When I was a little girl.....I absolutely loved this cat lamp, but, now I am hoping my lamp will go to a loving new home to be enjoyed.

Before I forget....the lampshade does not come with this lamp. My Mom had my lamp packed away all these years.....and a lampshade was not with it. I remember, it had a ruffled plastic lampshade with little kitties on it.

Weighing the lamp without a box or packaging.....it weighs 3 lbs. If there should be a buyer for my lamp, I will wrap it very carefully for safe delivery....so mailing will be $18.00.
