Amate is a form of paper made from tree bark that has been manufactured in Mexico since Pre-Hispanic times. Amate Paper was extensively produced and used for communication, record and ritual during the Aztec Empire. Today it is produced for it's artistic qualities.

Makes a unique, attractive wall hanging suitable for framing.
