Match Holder Bisque Boy on Flower Chariot Figurine Planter
A boy rides a flower chariot with flower wheels and a dove in front. Made of bisque porcelain and hand painted, circa 1875 - 1900. This would have been used for long matches and placed by a pipe smoker"s chair or near a fireplace.
After the first pictures were taken, I cleaned the boy's face, collar, and arms with a damp cloth. You can see the difference in the two photos with the plant inside the chariot.
This piece would look so nice with fresh flowers in it; however, you would have to put a foil liner inside. Height: 4.75 inches. Marked on the base: '2' and '7621'; very good condition! (#1510-CD)
