The male green headed mallard duck is a large dabbling duck, the ith iridescent green head, rusty chest, and brown-grayish body. Mallards feed mainly by diving, sometimes dabbling, mostly eating aquatic plants with some mollusks, aquatic insects and small fish.

Michael LeClair's outstanding artistry for the needlepoint artist showcases this striking waterfowl in a rare folkart style portrait which features earthy colors and textured stitches along with geometric patterns in this long out of production design for Elsa Williams Creative Canvaswork.
