Input 1/2 with balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" connectors, gain controls, Peak-LEDs and phantom power (+48V) switch. Use input 1/2 to connect microphones to the ADC&DAC2000. Note that you cannot use the XLR input of channel 1 (or 2) when the 1/4" input of channel 1 (or 2) is used at the same time. You can change the gain of the input level with the gain control knobs. The Peak-LEDs show if the input signal reaches 0dB level. The LED over 1/4" input 1 show if channel 1/2 has been enabled in the External Links software of your DSP24. Input 3-8 with unbalanced 1/4" connectors (line level -10dBv). You cannot change the input gain of channels 3-8. The LEDs over the inputs show if the corresponding input channel pair has been enabled in the External Links software of your DSP24. Power LED: red (or orange with external power supply) when the unit is turned on / disabled (or green with external power supply) when it is on stand-by. DATA IN / DATA OUT 44pin D-SUB connector (H-BUS): connection via a 44pin-44pin cable to the DSP24 PCI card and to other (optional) external boxes. You can use either of the two connectors to connect the ADC&DAC2000 to your DSP24 PCI card. 12 ~ 13.5V DC regulated power supply connector to use an external power supply (+ on tip). Note we normally do not recommend to use an external power supply as the power from your PC via the 44pin cable is enough for all functions in most situations. 1 MIDI input / 2 MIDI outputs Output 1-8 with unbalanced 1/4" connectors. Use Output 1/2 as main output to monitor audio signals. Output 1/2 additionally with balanced XLR-connectors. Please use this as main output if your amplifier or active speakers have balanced inputs. The XLR outputs for channel 1/2 will send out the same audio signal as the 1/4" outputs for channel 1/2 (and as the stereo headphone output on the front of the ADC&DAC2000).
