This long piece of Bedfordshire lace was made to edge something, perhaps a wedding gown or negligee. It is 64 inches long and 4 inches deep. This is handmade and in perfect condition. It does not appear to have ever been attached to anything. Currently this is in one loop but the ends are sewn together and could be separated. The color is ivory or light oatmeal. Bedfordshire lace is often referred to as Cluny lace but the identification sources I used place this as more Bedfordshire than Cluny.
