Antique Victorian Sapphire Rose Diamond Wedding Ring French c.1840

A Stunning and Rare Antique Victorian Sapphire and Rose Cut Diamond Wedding Ring, European French c.1840, 14K Gold and Silver. This incredibly beautiful antique ring holds a vibrant blue sapphire at center measuring about 4.2mm in diameter. It is joined by eight (8) sparkling antique rose cut diamonds. The setting is composed of silver topped 14K yellow gold, which predates the use of white gold. The ring is estimated to date circa 1840's and has a series of Hallmarks on the inside of the shank. There is an animal head marking that I have not been about to pinpoint the exact origin, but I believe is it a French export marking for 14K gold. Overall the ring measures about 5/8 inch long by about 13/16 inch wide from side to side. Ring Size: about 8 1/4 (could be resized by your jeweler or ask me about using mine before shipping). This ring was acquired through a wonderful estate collection and is in lovely vintage condition. A rare and gorgeous antique find.
