Antique Sterling Silver Locket Vintage Victorian Georgian 19th Century

A Wonderful Antique Sterling Silver Locket with Gold, Vintage Victorian - Georgian, 19th Century, with Scrolling Repousse and Shield Motif. This beautiful antique locket has ornate repousse on the front and back and a shield in the center with a bit of gold. The locket is composed of sterling silver and predates the extensive use of hallmarks. The locket opens and closes securely. Overall the locket measures about 1 1/8 inches long with bail top by about 7/8 inch wide. This locket was acquired through an estate collection and is in lovely vintage condition. It is estimated to date to somewhere in the 19th Century, late Georgian to Victorian Era.
