A Good Husband Lord Nelson Ware tankard Staffordshire England Elijah Cotton vintage hc2197

This tankard is from the Elijah Cotton period of the Lord Nelson Pottery in Staffordshire England. It is a creamy white china with gold accent at rim and on handle. It has a cartoon on front and back. On the front is written A GOOD HUSBAND is one who washes up when asked and dries up when told.
The tankard is from 1956 according to the mark on the bottom. Elijah Cotton Ltd. Staffordshire England Lord Nelson Ware. There are also green and gold Ts. The tankard is 4.5 inches high. Other than crazing typical of age and shelf scuffing on the bottom the mug is in superior condition. Does not look to have been used other than as display.
