The main casts include Chen Jianbing (Three Kingdoms, Empresses In The Palace), Yin Tao (The Legend of Yang Guifei), Shao Feng (Three Kingdoms) and Wang Huichun (Yongzheng Dynasty). Through the huge historical background of Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, Gao Xixi reproduced the story of Zhao Kuangyin, Emperor Taizu of Song by restoring the historical figures entirely. On the basis of respect for history and comprehensive approach, the play was not only to maximize the scenarios about Song Dynasties and Ten Kingdom period, showing the prevailing social style, but also a true representation of historical allusions.
