This one of a kind fascinator headpiece has been completely made by me, the teacup milliner. My pieces are designed and made the same way I make my hats, in full millinery fashion. From the base which I designed, and made from buckram and wired the edge. Each piece is lined the same way I line my hats.
My inspiration for this piece was the recent Royal Wedding where I saw many hats with shaped feathers. I sat patiently shaping these varying height coque feathers for the feather pad and added three peacock feather eye feathers. There is a small peacock at the base of the feather pad and there are matching earrings. The fascinator base is covered with lavender satin with an overlay of dark green lace.
