"Tussie Mussie Pansies" was designed from a antique greeting card for the floral counted cross stitcher! A tussie mussie comes from a Victorian term meaning a "small bouquet of flowers." Another term used is "nosegay." These were usually given for a special occasion or memory by someone who wants to acknowledge it to another. In Victorian times flowers were used to communicate a message and flowers symbolic meaning depending on the color and kind of flower given in the tussie mussie.

The giving of pansies means, "Loving Thoughts."

The pattern would be beautiful stitched for yourself or for someone else. You will have a lovely cross stitch. The patterns can be mixed and matched, as they are each the same size.
