First, this napkin and mat are not an exact match however they are so close they look great together. Both are off white or cream linen. Both are trimmed with hand crocheted filet lace,
The mat has the lace with floral motif in each corner. The napkin has a triangular lace insert in one corner that has what I see as a butterfly. The napkin also has a whitework monogram W or M depending on how you hold the napkin. It could also be VV. The napkin has a satin stitched scalloped edge. The mat has a narrow hand crocheted lace hem.
The napkin is 12.5 inches square. (32 cms.) The mat is 13 by 18 inches.(33x46cms) The condition of both is excellent antique. No damage of any kind.
