Antique Emerald Ring White Gold Art Deco Wedding Ostby Barton Titanic

A Gorgeous Antique Simulated Emerald Ring, Vintage Art Deco circa 1920 Set in White Gold by Ostby and Barton. This wonderful antique ring was made by Ostby & Barton, one of the most well-known jewelry manufacturers of the period. The firm was founded in 1879 and seems to have disappeared about 1950. One of the principals, Engelhart Ostby, perished in 1912 aboard the Titanic, while his adult daughter survived. This ring holds a beautiful deep rich faceted simulated emerald set in a fine ornate setting composed of white gold. Ostby Barton is known for their fine detail and settings. Overall the ring measures about 7/16 inch long by about 9/16 inch wide from side to side. Ring Size: about 2 3/4 (could be resized by your jeweler or ask me about using mine before shipping). This ring was acquired through an estate collection and is in lovely vintage condition. A rare and exquisite find.
