This is an old curved gouging chisel. The blade is 3/4 inch wide and 6 inches long. The total length from the tip of the blade to the end of the handle is 13 1/2 inches. The handle has considerable wear from normal usage, and looks like it may have been removed and securely glued back on at some point. The blade itself is still sharp, but needs cleaned up and derustified. See pictures for details.
