Captain Turner (John Bentley) and his crew patrol the Pacific for enemy ships. For his first command in the Pacific war the by-the-book officer is ordered to take his submarine on a reconnaissance mission to locate a fleet of Japanese fighting ships the Allies have lost track of. As his crew grows restless for battle, the captain must convince the men their mission will ultimately lead to defeating the enemy.
