SANTA CLAUS PAPER MASK Vintage Victorian Type DIE-CUT Eyes Nose Mouth 1880-1900

SANTA CLAUS FACE AND BEARD MASKThis is an unmarked vintage, possibly pre-1900, die cut printed paper Santa Claus mask. It is like that it may have been an insert from a children's book. It is life sized and meant to be worn, with a cut out hole for mouth & eyes and a three dimensional die cut nose shape. The color printed hat extends as a band around the back and glued so that the mask can be slipped over the head. The printed illustration itself is in the old Victorian style that leads me to believe it was printed in the late 19th century, but the are no dates or other markings to confirm. It is life sized measuring 11" x 12" with some minor wear to the edges, small creases and a tear about 1/2" long.
