This resource includes the following:
• 3 pumpkin, graphic organizers and
• 3 answer keys.
These organizers include:
1 cut and paste,
1 with blank organizer, and
1 with prompts.
The cut-and-paste organizer gives students the answers and lets the students decide what happens at the beginning, middle, and end of the story and glue them down. The blank organizer is for the most advanced students, and asks the students to come up the with the answers and write them down on the correct pumpkin for the beginning, middle, and end. The organizer with prompts provides the students with the beginning of a sentence. For example, “In the beginning of the story, the pumpkins __________________________________.”
(The story Pete the Cat and the Five Little Pumpkins is NOT included; it is written by James Dean and can be found at many bookstores and libraries. James Dean and Tiffany Brodsky are NOT endorsing one another, and they are not associated with one another.)
This is super for literacy centers, partner work, table groups, or a whole class. Enjoy!
