Charles A. Lindbergh The Last Hero dust jacket is in Very Good condition being complete with the price of $12.50 still present to the front flap but with wear to the edges of the dust jacket, to the spine of the dust jacket and to the back panel of the dust jacket.

The Walter S. Ross Charles A. Lindbergh The Last Hero book bears a long note and inscription from aviator Verne Jobst, who is a senior and prominent figure in the aviation industry having over 50 years of aviation experience and flying aircraft such as balloons and gliders to B-17 bombers.

Verne Jobst continues underneath:

“The original printing of “The Last Hero” was reviewed by Charles Lindbergh. He made notes of errors that were in the original. The papers of corrections were given to Yale University after C.A.L.’s passing. Mr. Ross was afforded the opportunity to go through General Lindbergh’s papers and as Mrs Lindbergh said, “He made most all of the corrections” in the revised edition that came out in 1976. Obviously, this would be one of the most authentic books written by someone other than C.A.L. himself. Verne Jobst 4-24-81”

This book is accompanied with an Obituary for Beryl Markham who was the first pilot to fly the Atlantic solo from East to West in 1936 flying from the Royal Air Force (RAF) aerodrome in Abingdon in England and landing in Nova Scotia.
