U.S.A.B. SPUR
Offered for your consideration is a single, one (1) high-grade solid brass spur. The spur is inscribed on the inside "U.S." over "A.B." It has no rotating rowels. Both leather straps are hard, cracked, and rotted.
U.S. Cavalry Spur by August Buermann
pre-1926
This is a brass Cavalry spur. All the Buermann spurs were stamped/ engraved with various symbols. In 1926, the Buermann company was purchased by one of the big 3 spur manufacturers, North and Judd. North and Judd used an Anchor as their stamp, and after the purchase, spurs were stamped with both the Star and Anchor symbols. This spur only has the Star and therefore is pre-1926 and more rare.
