Every loving relationship is a balancing act, as this couple demonstrates. Each sculpture is hand-carved from kisii, a soft soapstone found only in Kenya. Kisii’s satiny finish is achieved through multiple stages of sanding, followed by waxing. Carving kisii stone has been a godsend for sustenance farmers who were once struggling to feed their families.
