Shaolin eight-section brocade exercise is one of the earliest health improving skills practised by Shaolin fighting monk.As early as Tang Dynasty , monk You Lingqiu practised the eight-section brocade exercise.Because the eight-section brocade exercise has the functions of guarding against disease,and strengthening physique;he practiced for thirty years and lived to 108 years old.


The eight-section brocade exercise has the functions of regulating qi and blood，balancing yin yang，and promoting metabolism，so it can dispel disease and prolong life through long time practice.
