The Chen Style Taiji Quan was originated from Chenjiagou Village, Wenxian County, Henan Province. On the basic of family tradition boxing and in accordance with Yin and Yang logic in the Book of Changes, the Breathing Exercise and the Meridian Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the ninth generation successor Chen Wangting comprehensively created a set of boxing with the character of Yin and Yang according with the physiological rule of human body and running rule of the nature, so it is named Taiji Quan.

　

Through the compilation by the fourteenth generation successor Chen Changxiang, the seventeenth generation successor Chen Fake based on family tradition boxing ,it is formed Chen style Taiji Quan mainly spread in the society at present, including not only Old Frame Routine I and Routine II and New Frame Routine I and Routine II, but for the respect of equipment, there are also such routines as Chen style Taiji Single Broadsword, Double Broadsword, Single Sword, Double Sword, Pear Flower spear Plus White ape cudgel, Spring Autumn Long Broadsword, Taiji Staff of Three, Eight and Thirteen; as well as all Kinds of pushing hand skills, internal exercise skills and so on.
