This is a darling little coat that I found with the white silk dress also listed. It's done in pale pink pique, very full and gathered to a yoke. The neckline and lower edges of the sleeves are done in dainty scallops. The back of the yoke has been taken up, two darts...I have no way of telling whether it was for a baby, or perhaps altered later for a doll.
It measures 9" long from top to bottom and about 8" across shoulder seam to shoulder seam. There is no fastening on the yoke; it was probably just done as a "top" for a very feminine little outfit. There are still a couple of brown spots (see pictures) that need another soaking to freshen the outfit.
This would be a sweet jacket or coat for a vintage doll...a piece from a baby's past that is ready for a new role today!
