The front of the dust jacket features a great comical illustration by Frank Ford. The dust jacket is in Good condition with a tear and minor losses to the top and bottom of the spine, creasing, corner wear and staining to the inside of the dust jacket that has not come to the front.

The original orange binding has black lettering to the front board and spine, and the Herbert Jenkins logo to the back board. The binding is in Good condition with marks to the to front board and back board, but with the spine still in Very Good condition.

There are 253 numbered pages with 2 pages of advertisements to the end of the book. The pages are in Good to Very Good condition with a contemporary inscription to the blank front free endpaper, and marks to the pages from page 235 to the end of the book.

Despite the faults, reflected in this great price, this remains a very collectable and desirable P.G. Wodehouse first edition book.
