Willy Pogany Tannhauser A Dramatic Poem 1911 signed limited edition book, limited to just 525 copies, is for sale. This wonderful Willy Pogany illustrated book comes complete with 16 colour Willy Pogany illustrations and is in the original suede leather binding.

This very scarce edition of Willy Pogany Tanhӓuser is limited to just 525 copies in England and America, with this copy being numbered 458 by Willy Pogany and signed by Willy Pogany to the Limitation page. The Willy Pogany Tannhӓuser signed limited edition book was published by G.G. Harrap & Co. London in 1911.

Tannhӓuser comes in the special original suede leather binding with gilt decoration to the front cover and to the spine.  The binding is in Very Good condition with only slight edge wear and a small mark to the back cover.

The pages not paginated with the top edge gilt and the remaining pages untrimmed, as required.   There are five parts to this book which are:

Part 1 The Hӧrselberg
Part 2 The Deliverance
Part 3 The Reunion
Part 4 The Strife of Song
Part 5 The Pilgrim

The pages are profusely illustrated throughout by Willy Pogany with very attractive front endpapers, rear endpapers, Willy Pogany illustrations in grey, black and colour, Title Page, Contents Page and 16 Willy Pogany full page colour tipped-in plates.

The Willy Pogany colour tipped in plates are all present and in Fine condition.  The pages are in overall Very Good (or better) condition with some pages having only extremely minor fox spots (only mentioned for completeness).
