Walt Disney’s Bambi book is for sale. The book is not dated, but is believed to be circa 1949 and has an inscription dated 1949.

The original binding has a magnificent front board illustration of Bambi in the woods with Thumper. The back board is plain as required. The spine has its original red cloth. The front board is in Very Good condition with the colour illustration bright but with edge wear; there are marks to the cloth spine and plain back board.

There are plain green endpapers to the front and back of the book, and 4 full page colour photographs that were intended to be removed but are still present, together with the instructions for the removal of the pictures for framing. The pages are unpaginated and are in overall Very Good condition with an inscription to the blank front free endpaper in a neat hand; some cracks to a few of the internal hinges that are purely cosmetic, and do not loosen any of the pages or detract from the book in anyway.

This is a wonderful and scarce edition of Bambi that will make a great addition to any Disney collection
