Rare Antique Georgian Victorian Tigers Eye Cameo Ring Gold 19th Century Neo Classic

An Exquisite Antique Georgian Victorian Tigers Eye Hand Carved Cameo Ring in Gold, Late Georgian to Victorian Era 19th Century, Neo-Classic. This fine antique piece is made of hand carved tigers eye gemstone and antique gold. The period of the early to mid 19th Century was filled with Neo Classic styles that were revived from antiquity, including Greek and Roman classic designs. The influence came from excavations of ancient ruins that were done around this time. The ring holds a piece of tigers eye stone measuring about 8 x 10mm, that had been hand carved by Italian artisans more than 100 years ago. The setting is composed of antique gold with closed back on the stone. Overall the ring measures about 7/16 inches long by about 11/16 inch wide from side to side. Ring Size: about 6 (could be resized by your local jeweler or ask me about using mine before placing the order and shipping). The piece dates to the late Georgian to Victorian Era and is in lovely vintage condition with the cameo having a chip in the upper right area as pieces of this early era often do.
