20 seeds of the very rare Nesocodon mauritianus, fresh harvest, endangered species, extremely rare plant.
Formerly known as Wahlenbergia mauritiana, which is endemic to the island of Mauritius.
It produces blue flowers with red nectar, which is very uncommon in flowering plants.
Nesocodon mauritianus is a member of the Campanulaceae family. It is only found in the cliffs of Mauritius, where it is disappearing from, grows in small pockets of peat on the step cliffs with some water and some sun.
The germination rate is about 90 %, starting after 2 -3 weeks.
Sow the tiny seeds on top of fine soil and keep moist but not wet at 23°C - 25°C, do not repot often, it has fragile root system.
