Antique Pearl Brooch Akoya Pin Designer Style

A Superb Antique Pearl Brooch, Akoya Pearls, Designer Style, Vintage Art Deco, circa 1930s. This pearl brooch is adorned with a stunning array of genuine Japanese Akoya Salt Water Pearls with a stunning lustrous glow. The pearls range from about 7 to 5mm in diameter. These pearls are every bit as nice as those found in signed Mikimoto pieces. The Mikimoto company sold their extra pearls to other Japanese jewelers at the time and these pearls very well could have been from Mikimoto. The setting is also beautifully fashioned from sterling silver. The pin is marked sterling in the back. The brooch measures about 1 1/2 inches long by about 1 3/16 inches wide and closes securely with the safety clasp. The piece is from an estate collection and is in lovely vintage condition. It is estimated to date circa 1930's, but could be a bit earlier or later.
