Biographical notes taken from the Pittoriliguri website.infoPainter, engraver and ceramist he studied at the Ligustica Academy of Fine Arts, a pupil of the painters Maragliano and Bertelli. With the portraitist Amisani and the surrealist Carpi, he completed his artistic studies at the Accademia di Brera in Milan. It began in 1927 at the Exhibition of the Promoter of Fine Arts, in 1929 at the first "Mostra dell'Arte Ligure", presenting two paintings "Adam and Eve" and "My father".He was among the founders, in 1931, of the Futurist group Sintesi. His activity as a ceramist is also remarkable; friend of Tullio d'Albisola, he performed numerous futuristic works.He was also part of the Genoese group La Casana. Several of its holdings in major national exhibitions: the Venice Biennale, the Roman Quadrennial (during the thirties), the Bergamo Prize (exhibition on the landscape Italian). There are also numerous personal exhibitions in Genoa, La Spezia, Rome and Milan. Abandoning the futurist themes, he followed an artistic production linked to the themes of the Italian twentieth century devoting himself mainly to the execution of landscapes. In 1943 he was appointed Academic of Merit of Ligustica, in 1967 a member of the Italian Archaeological Academy in Rome.
