Sealant latch high-strength one-piece

ASTROhim Sealant (non-separable) is designed for sealing and fixing threaded connections (including pipe ones) requiring disassembly only in case of major repairs. It can also be used for fixing and sealing joints of the shaft-sleeve type, fixing bearings without a press fit.

It cures in gaps up to 0.4 mm between surfaces without air access, providing a reliable and tight connection of homogeneous and dissimilar materials. Temperature range of operation is from –60 ºС to +150 ºС. The moment of unscrewing on an loose screw pair after 24 hours is not less than 35 N • m. Prevents self-unwinding by increasing the moment of breaking. Increases resistance to vibrations. Prevents corrosion. It is steady against action of water, gases, engine oil, any types of fuel, prevents their leakage.

Mode of application:
Clean the threads of rust, dirt, oil, degrease with solvent and dry. Squeeze the product from the bottle onto the thread and evenly distribute throughout the thread profile by turning the nut up and down along the thread with sealant. Tighten the threaded joint completely. The polymerization of the sealant occurs within 2 hours. The composition gains final strength after 6 hours at a temperature of at least 18 ºС. To disassemble the joints fixed with a sealant with a thread diameter of more than M20, or if it is impossible to apply significant forces to unscrew, the connection should be heated to 200-250 ºС with an industrial hairdryer or blowtorch and dismantled.
