Hojari Frankincense from Oman 1kg

Frankincense is a Gum-like material, harvested from the trunk of Boswellia Sacra tree which grows in the south part of Oman. The Omani frankincense is the purist and highest quality frankincense in the world. This frankincense is directly acquired from framers from Dhofar. There are different types of frankincense depending on the geographic location of the tree and type of tree, which explains the variation in color from one type to another. This particular type is the Hojari frankincense and locals mostly burn this type for aroma but it is also used for its health benefits.



Frankincense has many uses that include the following

1. Frankincense resins are burnt for their amazing calming aroma that lingers for hours.

2. Frankincense is commonly used to improve gut function. Locals commonly soak it in water for 24 hours and then drink the water to relieve constipation and symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease. Fresh resins can also be chewed like gum

3. Frankincense has some antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It can reduce skin inflammations and maintain good oral hygiene

4. Skin benefits: frankincense oil can reduce uneven skin tone and discoloration. It can also be used as a great moisturizer especially for dry skin

5. Some studies have shown that frankincense can fight and reduce the risk of certain types of cancer such as breast, prostate and pancreatic cancers.



There might be some pieces of tree bark but will do our best to clean them out. Some of the resins are still soft as this was harvested this season, which usually starts in April and lasts all summer.
