A Cantata for Young Voices with vocal/lyrics, recorders, piano, guitar & Orff instruments.
Celebration was composed for the 1979 Long Island Recorder Festival. Though originally conceived as a large festival piece, any of the segments may be performed independently. The orchestration is flexible, -where an instrument is missing from one's ensemble another may easily by substituted. It is my sincere hope that each group of young performers engaged in the work will come to grasp the essence of what I was trying to say, and that they will create their own unique presentation.
