Mimi di N's talents as a jewelry designer became known very early...she designed for Scassi, DiMario, and Brania before coming into her own. Her jewelry reflects the opulent look from the classic 60's and is highly collectible.
This wonderful piece reflects one of her signature looks, not just nature, but the seashore. A triangular piece, it is made of shells stacked in a design of simplicity and symmetry, beautifully done. It is done in gold-toned metal and is signed on the back with 3 cartouches: Mimi di N's sig, the date 1973, and one with a copyright symbol. It measures 2" on each side. (I understand from a very knowledgeable person that this is one half of a double clasp...this could be made to work as a single one though.)
This will make a superb accent on a belt against black, against neutrals, or white, just for starters. Quite a lovely piece for your wardrobe!
