Aqua-Ban tablets are for the relief of pre-menstrual water retention. Aqua-Ban contains two diuretics which help you get rid of excess water which can build up before a period.
2. What you need to know before you take Aqua-Ban:
Do not take Aqua-Ban if you:
are suffering from liver or kidney problems
are allergic to Ammonium Chloride, Caffeine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6)
are pregnant or breast-feeding Warnings and precautions If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 5 days, contact a doctor. Other medicines and Aqua-Ban Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, including those obtained without a prescription. Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Do not take
Aqua-Ban tablets if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
3. How to take Aqua-Ban Women with pre-menstrual water retention: Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The recommended dose is: Swallow 2 tablets three times a day after meals starting four or five days before expected period until period begins. Do not take for more than 5 days. Not recommended for children under 12 years old. If you take more Aqua-Ban than you should Seek immediate medical advice in the event of an overdose. If you forget to take Aqua-Ban Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
4. Possible side effects Like all medicines, Aqua-Ban can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. You may notice any of the following mild side effects: • nausea (feeling sick) • abdominal cramps or stomach pains
