Vintage Orange Bakelite Lucite Necklace Mixed Beads Re-strung 25"
Welcome! Presenting a vintage re-strung necklace of orange bakelite (tested) and lucite or thermoset plastic beads in varying shades and shapes, with coral glass spacer beads in between. It measures about 25 inches long (not including the clasp). The largest bead at the center measures about 3 cm by 2 cm (about 1 1/4" by a little over 3/4") and the smallest beads measure about 9 mm round.
PLEASE NOTE: This necklace has been re-strung with a more recent lobster claw clasp. The old clasp was broken and the old rotted cotton beading cord has been replaced with nylon fishing type beading cord with heat fused ends at the bead tips. The beads are mostly bakelite (tested) with some lucite or thermoset plastic beads mixed in (for example, the coral colored oval beads). The coral orange glass spacers are also a more recent addition to the necklace. Overall good intact condition.
