Hidabeni Red F1 is a red hybrid turnip traditionally grown in Japan. The root is round with a slightly flattened profile, and once sliced into, it reveals a mild-tasting, pink-streaked, white inner flesh under its bright scarlet skin. They can be harvested young for eating in salad or pickling or left in the ground longer and used for cooking.
It is excellent for making pickles and matures in just 45-50 days.
