This miniature cross-stitch elephant is adapted from a vintage zoo poster from the 1930s. It’s worked in deep shades of blue and violet, with bold shades of pistachio green for the grass. Visit the Zoo portion conveys a metallic reflection as if printed on tin.
This design is full coverage and designed to be worked on 14 count aida to fit a 5”x7” frame. Other finished sizes are also provided if you’d like the design to be larger – or smaller. Alternate finish sizes are provided for 11, 16 and 18 count. When working on 11 count, 3 or even 4 strands will provide the best coverage.
This PDF contains a single page – one for the color chart and a separate page for the black & white chart so you can work off of whichever is easiest for you. The floss table is for DMC and shows both color and black & white symbols so even if you choose to print only the black & white chart, you’ll still have a color key handy.
This miniature cross-stitch is a minuscule 66 stitches wide X 89 high.
