Up for bid are seeds of the Southern Waxmyrtle. This is a beautiful shrub that is native to the southeastern US. The main appeal of these shrubs is the nicely scented berries that are born on the stems of female plants, although these plants are also evergreen or semi-evergreen which also adds to the appeal. They are hardy to at least USDA zone 7, and possibly colder. These seeds were collected from plants in Maryland, in the northern part of their range, so these may prove to be hardier than the typical species. These plants would make excellent additions to your rare plant collection, or just make a unique statement in your yard
