Kate McKinnon and John Cameron Mitchell do an admirable job of bringing these larger-than-life figures back down to earth, but Joe vs. Carole feels like a pale retread of an already overdone tale.

Joe Vs Carole delivers an interesting take on a well-known story. The performances by Kate McKinnon and John Cameron Mitchell are commendable, making the series enjoyable. However, some may feel it lacks originality as it slightly retraces a familiar narrative. Nevertheless, it’s an entertaining watch and worth adding to your collection.
