Blue rhinestones in silver potmetal pin brooch vintage costume jewelry ll2512

This brooch is growing on me quickly. I was first drawn to the color of the stones and the more I examine this piece the more I am captured by the shapes and combinations of blues.

The brooch is silver tone pot metal set with both open and closed back rhinestones. The shape and setting reminds me of a snowflake--except it is blue. The large outside rhinestones and the central ring of small rhinestones are prong set with open backs. The darker blue rhinestones are paste set. The stones are dark clear turquoise and marine blue. The colors are gorgeous and the combination is dramatic.

This is an old pin in perfect condition. All stones look original and the safety clasp works securely. It is about 2 inches across.
