Lovely Vintage Embroidered ROSES Fabric,Pillow Cover,Wall Decor
Lovely estate find in this nicely made piece of fabric that has Embroidered ROSES. Nice seafoam blue cotton linen fabric as the background. Large cabbage rose in muliple hues of tangerine oranges and reds on the left. On the right a large one in hues of reds, pinks and some off tangerine orange. Above is a smaller pink hues rose, and then a rose bud at the top that shows more pinks and maroons. Another but on the left side. All surrounded by lots of the rose leaves.
This cloth would be used for many craft items. Can be made into a pillow, a wall hanging, or placed into a frame.
Overall the cloth measures approx. 18 inches wide by 12 inches high. The edges appear to have been in a possible frame at some time since edges have some dried glue. The actual surface image measures 14-1/2 wide by 10-1/4 high.
VERY GOOD CONDITION. Some threads are loose but mostly at the bottom. Lovely piece for your shabby, cottage type look. I showed two photos of the back stitching. They appear to be completed in clean french knots.
