I found an outstanding group of pottery items recently---a vase, wine bucket and four goblets. Each has a raised pattern of grape leaves and grape clusters. Each piece is signed, R. Crawford USA. The vase and wine bucket are incised 98. The goblets are incised 97. I am assuming that the numbers are year numbers for 1997 and 1998.
The pieces are terracotta and cobalt blue.
This listing is for an exceptional art pottery vase--6 1/2" tall. The lower portion of the vase is striated. The terracotta part of the vase is unglazed. The cobalt part is glazed. 13" at its widest circumference. Twisted vine handles. Grape cluster, leaves and vines in high relief. Excellent condition. Signed on base R Crawford USA 98.
