Biotebal 90 tabs/5mg Stops Hair Loss - For Strong Hair And Nails - Biotin Deficiency
Indications: biotin supports the processes of keratin formation and the differentiation of epidermal cells as well as hair and nails, improving their condition.
Action: the drug belongs to the group of vitamin preparations. Biotin, which is part of it, is a water-soluble vitamin, belonging to the group of B vitamins. Biotebal is used in biotin deficiency. Biotin deficiency in humans causes dermatitis around the eyes, nose, mouth, conjunctivitis, nail and hair growth disorders and their excessive fragility, fat metabolism disorders.
Dosage: usually 2.5mg to 5mg daily.
Composition: 1 tablet contains: active substance: biotin 5mg. Other ingredients: sorbitol, magnesium stearate, colloidal silica.
Contraindications: allergy (hypersensitivity) to biotin or any of the other ingredients of Biotebal.
Warnings and precautions: the drug contains sorbitol. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine. Raw egg white should not be eaten at the same time as taking the drug, as this may inhibit the absorption of biotin.
Interactions with other medicines: Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including those obtained without a prescription. Anticonvulsants (phenytoin, carbamazepine, phenobarbital, primidone) and alcohol cause a decrease in the concentration of biotin in the blood. Steroid hormones can accelerate the process of biotin breakdown in tissues.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine. The amount of biotin contained in Biotebal significantly exceeds the recommended daily intake for pregnant women, so the drug should not be used in women during this period. The amount of biotin contained in Biotebal significantly exceeds the recommended daily intake for breastfeeding women. Biotin is excreted in breast milk, but it has not been found to affect the breastfed infant. For this reason, the drug should not be used in women who are breastfeeding.
Driving and using machines: the properties of biotin and the type of side effects reported indicate that the drug does not adversely affect the performance of these activities.
